BOOK SIGNING AT GIFTED IN BOSTON SPA WENT SWIMMINGLY!

On Thursday 27th November from 2.00pm until 8.00pm Tim Bulmer was signing copies of "Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe" at the wonderful Gifted in Boston Spa.

The whole Bog Books team would like to thank the wonderful Ruth Hill and Judith Crossley ably assissted by Sue for organising the signing and of course promoting the book in such a fantastic way, we're glad you love the book so much!

It was a lovely afternoon full of Fizz accompanied by smoked salmon...what stress! If you were there, thanks for buying your Bog Book and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it!

Tim and Sarah arrived to a great pile of preordered books to sign then kept sigining until 8.00 at night and also Tim had lots of fun adding personal inscriptions on the large giclee prints of the Bog Books "Map of Yorkshire" - You can purchase your own signed copy on our website. Tim said "It was quite a struggle but we had a laugh and nothing was damaged in the process!"

Lots of Christmas shopping was done as not only was Tim there with the wonderful Bog Books but Gifted is packed full of fun, original and inspiring gifts so why not check out their website for some special Christmas ideas - www.giftedbostonspa.co.uk

BOG BOOKS IN STORE NOW!

Tim and Gary made a trip to Borders in York this evening to a book signing by Ian McMillan and Tony Husband. Their new book "Yorkshire Humour" is out now and they were kind enough to sign and doodle in our copies which was nice of them!

While we were there we thought we would have a look at our book "Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe" sitting proudly on display amongst other humorous books about Yorkshire and the like...a very proud moment for us!

We're doing a signing at the York University Student Market tomorrow (Wed 4th November) from 10am - 6pm so come along.

HALLOWEEN BOOK SIGNING AT DRACULA'S PLACE!

On Saturday 31st of October the Bog Books Team decended onto the seaside town of Whitby to do a speacial Halloween Bog Book Signing at the Whitby Visitor Centre.

We thought as there is a page in the 'Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe' book dedicated to Whitby featuring an illustration of the vampire legend Count Dracula that it would be ideal to do a Halloween book signing and it went down a Treat! (No Trick!). In Bram Stoker's 1897 Gothic novel 'Dracula' a Russian ship called Demeter ran ashore in Whitby during a fierce storm with Dracula on it.

With every copy sold we were entering people into a prize draw to win a large signed Giclee print of the Bog Books 'Map of Yorkshire'. The prize draw winner will be announced on Tuesday 3rd November.

We would like to thank everyone who came and supported us and bought their signed copy of the book, we hope you enjoy it (if you do tell a friend or two!)

BULMER! WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOODLING ON THAT PIECE OF PAPER BOY!!

Artist Tim Bulmer caught not paying attention in class!

The final day of the Bog Books launch at War Weekend in Pickering was just as good as the two previous ones with the town still buzzing with excitement. Everyone was in good sprits considering there was a War on! Some people were coming back to buy more Bog Books as presents for friends and family for Christmas and others were discovering us for the first time.

We have all had great fun over the past three days and would like to thank everyone who came in to have a look at what we were doing. We would especially like to thank every single person who bought a Bog Book this weekend whether it was for themselves or another...we hope you have as much fun reading it as we did writing, illustrating, designing and selling it!

Another massive thanks goes to everyone involved from our side of the counter this weekend...here goes...

Tim Bulmer, Sarah Bulmer, Josie & Becky, Gary Davies, Cheryl-ann Taylor & Baby Lennon, Kate Miller, Maxine Taylor & Lucas Taylor and of course Abby McClymont from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance for bringing lots of YAA freebies for you all to enjoy. Also, author of Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe, Ian Bowie, was there in spirit as he is in Finland at the moment.

So there we have it, the end of a very successful launch for Bog Books, see you all soon!

GREENGRASS GIVES BOG BOOKS THE THUMBS UP!

Now then, these Bog Books look great lad!

With so many people dressed up in 1940's clothing this weekend is was a bit bizarre to bump into a character from the 1960's tv series Heartbeat, the wheeler dealer known as Claude Greengrass! (Well he's actually a lookalike but he does look like him a lot!) We showed Greengrass "Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe" and he loved it! A true Yorkshireman we thinks!!

The day went really well, even better than the Friday actaully which was amazing. We opened at 9.00am and there were people waiting to come in, it was fantastic. The word had obviously been well spread that we were in town and people flocked to the shop all day to get their Tim Bulmer signed Bog Books and prints.

The parade was excellent too, so many people in costume making their way down the market place right past The Ginger Pig shop was a real sight. We had a great vantage point from the upstairs window and took loads of photos, some of which we've attached below.

So, after a hectic two days we are looking forward to the final day of the Bog Books shop at The Ginger Pig. So come on down and get your signed books while you can...see you there!

Roll up! Roll up! Get yer luvverly Bog Books here!

So today was the day, we finally launched Bog Books at the War Weekend in Pickering and it went down a storm! We opened the doors at 10.00am and still had people in the shop buying books at 8.00pm which is phenomenal! We are so pleased that the books have been recieved with the humour that was intended. It's very encouraging too after all the hard work we have put in to see people walking out of the shop with they lovely brand new 'hot off the press' Bog Books signed by Tim Bulmer and a huge smile on their faces! We had a thoroughly good time today and are looking forward to the rest of the weekend and what it may bring.

A huge thanks must go to Abby McClymont of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who came all the way to Pickering to help us today and give away lots of YAA freebies. We are very proud to be affiliated with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and are looking forward to giving over our first cheque to them for the first round of sales of Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe.

A very tiring but immensly satisfying day had by Team Bog Books!
