BULMER! WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOODLING ON THAT PIECE OF PAPER BOY!!
Artist Tim Bulmer caught not paying attention in class!
The final day of the Bog Books launch at War Weekend in Pickering was just as good as the two previous ones with the town still buzzing with excitement. Everyone was in good sprits considering there was a War on! Some people were coming back to buy more Bog Books as presents for friends and family for Christmas and others were discovering us for the first time.
We have all had great fun over the past three days and would like to thank everyone who came in to have a look at what we were doing. We would especially like to thank every single person who bought a Bog Book this weekend whether it was for themselves or another...we hope you have as much fun reading it as we did writing, illustrating, designing and selling it!
Another massive thanks goes to everyone involved from our side of the counter this weekend...here goes...
Tim Bulmer, Sarah Bulmer, Josie & Becky, Gary Davies, Cheryl-ann Taylor & Baby Lennon, Kate Miller, Maxine Taylor & Lucas Taylor and of course Abby McClymont from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance for bringing lots of YAA freebies for you all to enjoy. Also, author of Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe, Ian Bowie, was there in spirit as he is in Finland at the moment.
So there we have it, the end of a very successful launch for Bog Books, see you all soon!

GREENGRASS GIVES BOG BOOKS THE THUMBS UP!
Now then, these Bog Books look great lad!
With so many people dressed up in 1940's clothing this weekend is was a bit bizarre to bump into a character from the 1960's tv series Heartbeat, the wheeler dealer known as Claude Greengrass! (Well he's actually a lookalike but he does look like him a lot!) We showed Greengrass "Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe" and he loved it! A true Yorkshireman we thinks!!
The day went really well, even better than the Friday actaully which was amazing. We opened at 9.00am and there were people waiting to come in, it was fantastic. The word had obviously been well spread that we were in town and people flocked to the shop all day to get their Tim Bulmer signed Bog Books and prints.
The parade was excellent too, so many people in costume making their way down the market place right past The Ginger Pig shop was a real sight. We had a great vantage point from the upstairs window and took loads of photos, some of which we've attached below.
So, after a hectic two days we are looking forward to the final day of the Bog Books shop at The Ginger Pig. So come on down and get your signed books while you can...see you there!

I LOVE YAA!
Bog Books are helping The Yorkshire Air Ambulance to get Yorkshire saying ‘I LOVE YAA!’
You may see this slogan around Yorkshire quite a lot during October as it is the brand new marketing campaign across Yorkshire for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Look out for the distinctive red and yellow adverts on buses and in train stations throughout October. Thanks must go to their friends at CBS Outdoor who very kindly offered the advertising space free of charge and also to Heavenly agency who developed the campaign free of charge too!
You will also see this logo and slogan in the Bog Book "Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe" as there is a dedicated section telling you all about the YAA and the wonderful work they do.
‘I LOVE YAA!’
"We live in a busy modern world where none of us know what is around the corner. You could get in your car one day and not come home. This could happen to someone you love – something that we rarely think about. YAA understands that when there is an accident, all people care about is whether their loved ones are alive. People aren’t interested in life-saving statistics or helicopter speeds – all they care about is whether their loved ones are going to be ok. YAA is the only air ambulance charity to focus on saving the lives of loved ones across Yorkshire. We are driven by the passion and support of volunteers and donors – without them the charity would simply not exist. Love is a bond between families, friends and communities which YAA seeks to preserve by saving lives."

HELICOPTER HEROES!
Let's hear it for the Helicopter Heroes!
Bog Books Ltd are proud to be affiliated with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity and are doing their bit to keep this amazing group of people going. YAA save lives all over Yorkshire, and sometimes beyond, and their tireless effort should not go unnoticed. Bog Books Ltd donate money from the profits of every single copy of the "Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe" book to the charity and also donate profits from every "Bog Books Map of Yorkshire" and every giclee print from the book!
We visited YAA in August to discuss our involvement with them and saw first hand how speedy their response time was. They got called out as we were chatting out in the hangar. These guys are truly brilliant at their jobs and deserve every credit they get. As you can tell from the photo below the cups of tea get left standing from time to time too!
We created a page in the "Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe" book especially for the YAA which has been recieved very well so have a look out in the book for it.
On Monday 5th October the third series of the BBC1 documentary series "Helicopter Heroes" began. The series runs weekdays for four weeks airing at 9.15am. Watch the crew of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopters as they fly across the region helping to save lives.
If you've missed any episodes you can catch up on BBC IPlayer here
THE FIRST EVER BOG BOOK HAS ARRIVED!
Hot off the Press!
Hooray! We made a trip to the printers last week to see "Yorkshire Pudding 'n' All That Tripe" - the first ever Bog Book - come hot off the press. Firstly we had to oversee the printout of the front cover and check the colours were all correct as we had used a Pantone Metallic Gold colour. Guess what? It looked absolutely brilliant if we do say so ourselves!
We then went back a few days later to see the first three books that had been put together to sign off the quality of the assembly and again, a marvellous job was done! It was great to actually hold a copy of the book after all our hard work over the past six months...it was like holding your child for the first time...something which Gary and Cheryl-ann had done the week before for real with the first Bog Books Baby, Lennon!
So the remainder of the books are being assembled and boxed up ready for distribution and we can't wait...the suspense is killing us! We're so excited to be bringing our new book to the world next week...keep your eyes peeled!
